Week #17 - May 16th to May 22nd - GUI Design - 7 Inch Display

This week I started on the GUI design in python and created a base GUI screen for the main program including the buttons to access each part of the program.

The touch screen is very responsive and new displays open up in the same sized window as expected. I created a short video of how the screens will change.

Bryan and I also discussed the path forward with the power supply situation on the project. His blog will cover some more of the specifics, but we may be able to get an off the shelf switcher with built in charger to prevent the user from having to remove the battery to charge.

This week I will also bring the cell card to Bryan so he can do some full power current tests on the design to make sure the buck converter is able to supply enough current at 24V without causing any overheating conditions.
