A CAN-driven HMI display is a diagnostic tool that can be interfaced with a heavy-duty vehicle to read data. This data is essential for repairmen to diagnose potential issues with the vehicle. The devices on the market currently are in need of significant improvement. Although they may be efficient in gathering data from the vehicle, they fall short in easy operation when interpreting the vast amounts of hexadecimal encoded signals that are read from the CAN Bus.

Our CAN-driven HMI Touchscreen interface can read and record data from the vehicle, and easily display that data to the user, while also providing a remote means of reviewing the data to offer additional remote assistance or monitoring. A user-friendly touchscreen offers intuitive navigation  through menus of data with little training. The device also add useful external connections such as WiFi and/or cellular connectivity, add-on general purpose input and output (GPIO) modules, and an on-board battery.  This device provides a tool that will significantly improve the user's capability in diagnosing, reporting and ultimately repairing the vehicle.
